  • Mönchengladbach: Bahnhof Rheydt Development in the inner city

    In the coming years the City of Mönchengladbach plans to undertake further investment in the city centre of Rheydt in order to improve the quality of shopping, and thereby to encourage shoppers to linger. They will be focusing on the redevelopment of Mönchengladbach-Rheydt’s main station. The city bought the station from the German Federal Railways in 2016, and after a selection process to identify suitable investors, they plan to carry out new developments. Investors are called upon to take part in coming up with ideas for exciting architectural and functional uses in connection with this station.

  • Mönchengladbach: Entwicklungsachse Gladbachtal Trade and culture, work and living in prime city location

    The rediscovery of the Gladbach valley is one of the central ideas for the area between Abteiberg and City East. The most striking development is being carried out as part of the Abteiberg framework plan, in the eastern section of the city centre on the site of the former Maria-Hilf clinics, in the REME area and
