At 1,776 feet or 541, 3 metres in height, One World Trade Center is the tallest building in the USA. It dominates the Manhattan skyline where beforehand the World Trade Center stood. Just the spire by itself, which also acts as an antenna, is 124 metres (408 feet) long. The 500 ton hollow sections which went into the construction of the building were produced on rolling mills supplied by the plant and machinery engineering company SMS group in Mönchengladbach.
